How to Opt Out of junk mail?
A person is opted into receiving direct, unwanted or junk mail until the person calls the company and ask to be taking of there mailing list and put on the do not call and do not rent list.
It seems like a never-ending battle. Once a company sells your name to others it cascades and one can receive an overwhelming amount of unwanted and unneeded junk mail.
What is the Long Term Opt Out Solution?
One can opt out of the large company mailing lists such as The Direct Marketing Association, Experian, TRW and others. Once submitting your request it can take up to 6 months to me removed from mailing lists.
What is the Short Term Opt Out Solution?
Typically we here, I like some some catalogs or direct mail and do not want to stop all of them through the Direct Marketing Association, What can we do to stop only the ones we dont like?

- PS Form 2201, Application for Listing Pursuant to 39 USC 3010
- PS Form 2150, Notice of Prohibitory Order Against Sender of Pandering Advertisements in the Mails.
The Prophibitory Order Processing Center(POPC) in Memphis, TN continues to recieve customer requests for protection against unwanted sexually oreinted and pandering advertisments on obsolete Forms 2201 and 2150. "
So This means that one can submit this form for any mail that one finds offending. This is great but can be time consuming.
